If you are not listening to Dolly Mixture, you should be. They are LONG overdue for a reissue. I am so in love with this band’s melodies and sublime vocal harmonies. My passion for them has resulted in my geekishly posting on Cherry Red Records’ forums begging them to reissue these amazing ladies. Cherry Red has done an excellent job of reissuing some other greats such as Shop Assistants and The Mo-Dettes.
Dolly Mixture blends a 60s girl group poppy sound with some post-punk style. Truly, one of the greatest, underrated, and tragically overlooked bands in music history!
